Maastricht-Airport, September 8th 2015. The relocation Engineers of Convoi have reached an agreement with the curators of the (declared bankrupt) Imtech Industrial Services BV regarding the takeover of the electrical and automation activities of the South East department. With this acquisition continuity of employment for 80 Imtech employees is secured and Convoi is extending its expertise considerably. The former Imtech Industrial Services South East will continue as 'Convoi Electrical & Automation' , operating from the headquarters of Convoi at Maastricht-Airport as from today.
The activities of the new Convoi Electrical & Automation complement the relocation activities of Convoi: any relocation of production lines, machines, laboratories, medical systems, etc. expertise in the field of dis- and reconnecting of a plant and machinery is required. This acquisition is therefore a welcome and logical addition to the activities of Convoi which consist of machine installations, industrial relocations and project relocations.
Leon Spronken, CEO of Convoi: "Industrial removal projects are often turnkey projects, including all electrical and electronic controls. Clients want to be care-free and with the knowledge and expertise of Imtech South East in this field we add to our expertise considerably ".
Convoi Electrical & Automation will, as an independent company, continue in the footsteps of Imtech Industrial Services South East. The employees will be stationed at the Convoi headquarters in Maastricht-Airport as their home port. Convoi is convinced that the E & A and Relocation activities are a great addition and that both companies will benefit from each other’s expertise and so will their clients.
Leon Spronken: "First we will take all necessary measures regarding all personnel and at the same time we will personally inform clients how cooperation will evolve and what positive spin off this acquisition has for them."
The pages for Convoi Electrical & Automation are under construction and will be up and running soon.
